In a unique achievement that is the first of its kind, Aswan University achieves the best ranking of Egyptian universities ever in the British Times ranking for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (THE Impact Ranking 2021).
Aswan University is ranked 95th among the best 100 universities worldwide, and the best Egyptian university with more than 100 places over the second best Egyptian universities.
Today, the British Times’ ranking for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (THE Impact Ranking 2021) was announced, and Aswan University’s ranking was as follows: –
- AU is ranked 95th worldwide.
- First place at level of Egyptian universities.
- Eighth place in terms of Zero Hunger Index (SDG 2).
- Placing at (201-300) in terms of good health and well-being Index (SDG 3).
- Placing at (101-200) in terms of Quality Education Index (SDG 4).
- Placing at (201-300) in terms of Gender Equality Index (SDG 5).
7.Placing at (101-200) in terms of Inequality Reduction Index (SDG 10).
- Placing at (31) in terms of Local Sustainable Cities and Communities Index (SDG 11).
- Placing at (101-200) in terms of climate action index( SDG 13).
- Placing at (33) in terms of Partnerships for the Goals Index (SDG 17).
Prof. Mohamed Abdel- Aziz Mehalal Orabi_ Director of the International Ranking Office_ congratulated all Aswan University affiliates members. He declared that this unique achievement is the result of the concerted efforts of everyone in the university and the continuous support of the university’s higher management for achieving progress for our ancient university.
