The International Ranking Office has, since the first day of its assumption of responsibility, works on studying the university’s strengths and weaknesses points, works on improving them, and continuously developing to policies and strategies to keep pace with the requirements of various international classifications in order to achieve the highest levels of quality in education, and arrive the university to globalism and enhance its academic position and reputation at the both levels ( international and regional).
Accordingly, the office worked on taking many procedures and policies and adopting advanced strategies based on a scientific approach to keep pace with developments and updates to enhance and develop scientific research and the entire educational system to work on inserting Aswan University in international classifications, including : –
- Amending the university awards system and regulations, which leads to contributes to improving the international classification of the university
- Building databases for Aswan University in the British Times Classification and the QS Classification and updating them periodically (and database is going to be built for various other international classifications)
- Putting policies that serve the university’s strategy for sustainable development, including:
- Charter of Women’s Rights
- Sustainable Mobility Policy
- Emissions Reduction Policy “CO2 Emission”
- Providing ”Sustainable Diet Policy”
- Establishing Aswan University Fund for Sustainable Development
- Funding six projects that serve the university’s sustainable development strategy and work to implement Egypt’s Vision 2030 to achieve the sustainable development goals.
- Issuance of Aswan International University IJASWU journals – three international scientific journals specialized in (science and technology – medical journals – human sciences)
- Implementing several workshops in cooperation with the Knowledge Bank and Scival to introduce the international classification and how to write a strong scientific research, also how to obtain research funding and international funding bodies.
- Addressing the various university administrations to activate the official e-mail for each administration, which contributes to promoting digital transformation and the speed of exchanging data and statistics, particularly communications between the various administrations.
- Cooperation with the Information Center through the electronic portal to replace the paper submission with the electronic submission in:
- Applying for university awards
- Register for the Young Researchers Conference
- Applying for competitive projects
- Providing assistance to the various administrations in order to introduce the role they are entrusted with in accordance with the requirements of the international classification and how to contribute to advancing the international classification of the university.
- Cooperation with the Information Center and the electronic portal to develop the electronic portal “the official website of the university and the sites of the various faculties” to improve the international classification, especially Web metrics
