Aswan University in the QS ranking for the first time, and achieves two new accomplishments in British Times ranking 2021 for scientific specializations

Aswan University appeared in the QS Arab Region Rankings 2021 For the first time in its history, and Aswan University appeared in the 131-160 category.

Aswan University also achieved a new achievement by topping Egyptian universities in the British Times Ranking 2021 for scientific specializations in the field of engineering sciences and it is ranked 301-400 globally.

It also ranked sixth among Egyptian universities in the field of physical sciences and ranked 601-800 globally.

Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Aziz Mehallal Orabi_ Director of the International Ranking Office, stated that this achievement enhances the university’s progress towards continuing its methodology and strategy to provide an ideal educational environment that complies with international standards, as well as enhancing scientific research and its outputs, and emphasizing that the scientists and researchers of Aswan University are fully aware of these standards and mechanisms of its implementations.

This new achievement also represents an incentive that requires a lot of effort to maintain this ranking and even improve it, and this is in addition to our ancient university, which is a fledgling university that has been harnessing its full energy over the past two years, and making a lot of effort in order to apply the strongest international standards for global rankings. the result was a series of rankings obtained by the university in in various international, regional, and local levels during the past period. This is an achievement not only for Aswan University, but also for all Egyptian universities.

It is worth noting that international Rankings vary in their criteria from one to another. For example, the British Times Ranking gives the highest priority to the quality of scientific research and its outputs. The QS Ranking gives the greatest priority to academic reputation, through a survey of the opinions of more than 102,000 academic experts.
