For the first time, Aswan University has been ranked among the top (500) universities in Electrical & Electronic Engineering according to the Shanghai Ranking of Academic Subjects 2021. It was placed in the (401-500) among the world’s best universities. It’s worth mentioning that only (4) Egyptian universities were included in this discipline.
The Shanghai Global Ranking is considered one of the best academic rankings for global universities (ARWU). This ranking relies on several criteria to determine the best universities worldwide in scientific disciplines, including:
- Research published in scientific journals that are indexed and listed in the first category of Q1.
- Standard citation impact within the CNCI specialty level.
- International collaboration.
- Research published in top scientific journals.
- Academic staff who have received international awards in their respective fields.
